Calcium and magnesium in drinking water and risk of myocardial infarction and stroke - a population-based cohort study
CONCLUSION: Drinking water with a high concentration of calcium and magnesium, particularly magnesium, may lower the risk of stroke in postmenopausal women.PMID:35816459 | DOI:10.1093/ajcn/nqac186

Dairy consumption and mortality after myocardial infarction: a prospective analysis in the Alpha Omega Cohort
CONCLUSIONS: In Dutch post-MI patients, yogurt consumption was inversely associated with CVD mortality and all-cause mortality. Associations for milk and other dairy products were neutral or inconsistent. This trial was registered at clinicaltrials.gov as NCT03192410.PMID:33826695 | DOI:10.1093/ajcn/nqab026

Genetic susceptibility, plant-based dietary patterns, and risk of cardiovascular disease.
CONCLUSION: Adherence to healthy plant-based diets may be associated with a decreased incidence of CVD in the entire population, suggesting that plant-based dietary patterns may modify the risk of CVD, regardless of genetic susceptibility. PMID: 32401300 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Plasma lipidomic profiles and cardiovascular events in a randomized intervention trial with the Mediterranean diet.
Conclusions: Although the MedDiet interventions induced some significant 1-y changes in the lipidome, they were not significantly associated with subsequent CVD risk. Lipid metabolites with a longer acyl chain and higher number of double bonds at baseline were significantly and inversely associated with the risk of CVD. Greater Adherence to the 2019 Canada's Food Guide Recommendations On Healthy Food Choices Reduces the Risk of Cardiovascular Disease in Adults: a Prospective Analysis of UK Biobank Data
CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that greater adherence to the 2019 CFG recommendations on healthy food choices reduces the 11-year risk of CVD in middle-aged and older adults.PMID:36124644 | DOI:10.1093/ajcn/nqac256
