The application of pre-hospital first aid mode in patients with acute stroke: meta-analysis
Folia Neuropathol. 2022;60(3):284-291. doi: 10.5114/fn.2022.117614.ABSTRACTTo systematically evaluate the application effect of pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency mode in patients with acute stroke. The study was conducted by systematic search of Chinese (CNKI, Wanfang and VIP) and English (PubMed, EMBASE and Cochrane Library) databases. The case-control studies comparing the role of pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency mode for patients with acute stroke were included in this study. Outcome indicators included the time from admission to thrombolytic therapy (DNT), the time from calling for help to receiving professi...

New device multisegment Mechanical Thrombectomy System for endovascular treatment in acute ischaemic stroke: study protocol for a prospective, multicentre, randomised controlled trial
Introduction Endovascular treatment is the standard of care for acute large vessel occlusion (LVO) in the anterior circulation. However, successful complete recanalisation is considerably difficult when the vessels are severely tortuous. At the bend, the stent retriever can distort, collapse and lose its ability to capture the clot due to structural change. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the new thrombectomy device multisegment Mechanical Thrombectomy (MT) System for endovascular treatment of acute ischaemic stroke (AIS). Methods and analysis The present study is a prospective, mult...

Benefit finding in first-ever young and middle-aged patients who had a stroke and their spousal caregivers in China: a longitudinal mixed-methods study protocol
This study is a longitudinal mixed-methods, multicentre study. A total of 142 patients who had a stroke and 142 spousal caregivers will be investigated. Participants will be recruited from four large public hospitals in northern China. Quantitative and qualitative data will be collected at five time points (near discharge and 1, 3, 6 and 12 months following discharge). Validated and reliable questionnaires will be used in quantitative studies. Information on sociodemographic data, BF, functional status, perceived stress, coping styles and mutuality will be collected from the dyads. Qualitative data will be collected via se...

Association of Epicardial and Pericardial Adipose Tissue Volumes with Coronary Artery Calcification
Int Heart J. 2022 Nov 12. doi: 10.1536/ihj.22-006. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTEpicardial adipose tissue (EAT) and pericardial adipose tissue (PAT) are anatomically close to the myocardium and may influence cardiovascular pathology. Thus, in this study, we aim to assess whether EAT and PAT volumes were associated with coronary artery calcification score (CCS) in patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD), especially in overweight and obese individuals. We included consecutive patients with suspected CAD in whom EAT volume, PAT volume, and CCS were measured via computed tomography between September 2015 and June...
