Novel predictors and a predictive model of cerebrovascular atherosclerotic ischemic stroke based on clinical databases
CONCLUSION: The efficacy of the predictive model was acceptable as an aid in predicting cerebrovascular atherosclerotic ischemic stroke.PMID:36413433 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2022.2149185

Factors influencing the outcome of cardiogenic cerebral embolism: a literature review
CONCLUSION: Regarding to prevention and treatment of cardiogenic cerebral embolism, the related factors, such as clinical setting, emboli pathological profile, and epigenetic changes should be emphasized so that outcomes and recurrence of cardiogenic cerebral embolism can be improvised.PMID:34423741 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2021.1968704

Effect of rt-PA intravenous thrombolysis on the prognosis of patients with minor ischemic stroke
Conclusion: Patients with MIS received intravenous thrombolysis may be associated with earlier neurological improvement, but might has no significant effect on long-term prognosis. The level of neutrophil ratio and CRP at admission are risk factors determining the prognosis, which requires further research.PMID:33847231 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2021.1908672

Health-related quality of life after ischemic stroke: impact of sociodemographic and clinical factors
CONCLUSION: Stroke survivors have significantly reduced HR-QoL. Multiple interacting factors are associated with an unfavorable outcome after IS. Early detection of these factors would help to improve the care for IS patients, to reduce disabilities and improve HR-QoL.PMID:33637026 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2021.1893563

Association between mitral regurgitation and clinical outcome after endovascular thrombectomy in stroke patients.
CONCLUSIONS: Significant MR might prevent the clinical recovery of AF patients. PMID: 32497466 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Assessment of the manifestations of atrial fibrillation in patients with acute cerebral stroke - a single-center study based on 998 patients.
Discussion: The above data should prompt neurologists, cardiologists and family doctors to try to detect AF as a risk factor for ischemic stroke which worsens patient prognosis, prolongs hospital stay and contributes to increase in mortality, especially when more effective drug treatment is currently possible. PMID: 32241245 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Development and validation of a risk score to predict 30-day mortality in patients with atrial fibrillation-related stroke: GPS-GF score.
Conclusion The GPS-GF score is a simple and valid tool for predicting 30-day mortality in patients with AF-related stroke. PMID: 29544401 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

One-year outcomes and secondary prevention in patients after acute minor stroke: results from the China National Stroke Registry.
CONCLUSIONS: Outcomes in individuals in China who had experienced acute minor stroke were unfavorable, underscoring the importance of early, sustained preventive therapy in this patient population. Combination of secondary prevention medication classes was associated with a lower risk of death. PMID: 28476094 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Validation of the Essen Stroke Risk Score in different subtypes of ischemic stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: In patients with LAA subtype of non-atrial fibrillation stroke, the ESRS has moderate accuracy in stratifying the risk of both recurrent strokes and major vascular events within the first year. However, the ESRS couldn't accurately stratify the risk of recurrent strokes in patients with small-artery atherosclerosis subtype of non-atrial fibrillation stroke.
