Anticoagulation Resumption in a Patient With Mechanical Heart Valves, Antithrombin Deficiency, and Hemorrhagic Transformation Following Thrombectomy After Ischemic Stroke
This study is the first report of administering argatroban and titrating to its appropriate dose in the patient with valve thrombosis, antithrombin deficiency, and HT after mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke. Notably, the fluctuations argatroban brings to the coagulation test results might not be interpreted as increased bleeding risk. This case also suggested that the reported timing (day 6 to day 14 after hemorrhage) of anticoagulant resumption in primary intracerebral hemorrhage with mechanical valves might be late for some patients with HT.

The Protective Role of Immunomodulators on Tissue-Type Plasminogen Activator-Induced Hemorrhagic Transformation in Experimental Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Conclusion: Our findings suggested that immunomodulators had a favorable effect on tPA-associated intracerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, and neurobehavioral impairments in animal models of ischemic stroke.

Antidepressant Use and the Risk of Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events in Patients Without Known Cardiovascular Disease: A Retrospective Cohort Study
Conclusion: Even at low doses, TCA use was associated with MACEs during primary prevention. Longer duration of TCA use correlated with higher HR. Careful monitoring is needed with TCA use in patients with no known CVD history.

Prognostic Genetic Markers for Thrombosis in COVID-19 Patients: A Focused Analysis on D-Dimer, Homocysteine and Thromboembolism
In this study, we aimed to uncover the genetic basis of the above conditions by examining genome-wide associations and tissue-specific gene expression to build a molecular network. Based on gene ontology, we annotated various SNPs with five ancestral terms: pulmonary embolism, venous thromboembolism, vascular diseases, cerebrovascular disorders, and stroke. Taohong Siwu Decoction Ameliorates Ischemic Stroke Injury Via Suppressing Pyroptosis
Conclusion: Our results showed that THSWD could reduce the activation level of NLRP3 inflammatory corpuscle, down-regulate GSDMD, and inhibit pyroptosis in MCAO/R rats. These may be affected by inhibiting HMGB1/TLR4/NFκB, MAPK signaling pathways.

Semi-Mechanistic Modeling of HY-021068 Based on Irreversible Inhibition of Thromboxane Synthetase
Conclusion: We established a semi-mechanistic PK/PD model for characterizing the PK of HY-021068 and its anti-platelet effect in beagle dogs. The model can be used to predict the concentration and PAR under different dosage regimen of HY-021068, and might be served as a reference for dose design in the future clinical studies.

Opioids in Post-stroke Pain: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Conclusions: The limited number of the included studies and their heterogeneity in terms of study design do not support the efficacy of opioids in post-stroke pain and in pain-related outcomes. Large double-blind randomized clinical trials with objective assessment of pain and related symptoms are needed to further investigate this topic.

Effect of Triple Combination Therapy With Lopinavir-Ritonavir, Azithromycin, and Hydroxychloroquine on QT Interval and Arrhythmic Risk in Hospitalized COVID-19 Patients
ConclusionsWe observed a high incidence of extreme QTc interval prolongation among COVID-19 patients on triple combination therapy. Since the incidence of malignant arrhythmias seems to be not negligible, a careful electrocardiographic monitoring would be advisable.

Long Non-Coding RNA H19 Positively Associates With Aspirin Resistance in the Patients of Cerebral Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionsH19 is closely associated with aspirin resistance, and H19 probably induces aspirin resistance through increasing the production of 8-iso-prostaglandin-2α. Besides which, H19 may serve as a serological marker for diagnosing aspirin resistance with high specificity and sensitivity, and the test of H19 could give clues to the recurrence of ischemic stroke.

Closure Device-Related Thrombosis After Anticoagulation With Dabigatran in Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Left Atrial Appendage Closure: Case Reports and Literature Review
We presented four rare cases of thrombosis formation on the occluder device. After the LAAC operation was successfully performed on patients, they followed a course of anticoagulation with dabigatran (110 mg b.i.d.), and device-related thrombosis (DRT) occurred as indicated by a transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) during the follow-up period. Regressions were achieved after replacing dabigatran with rivaroxaban or warfarin for more than 1 month. No thrombosis or bleeding-related complications occurred in subsequent follow-ups.
