Genetic Deletion of NP1 Prevents Hypoxic-Ischemic Neuronal Death Via Reducing AMPA Receptor Synaptic Localization in Hippocampal Neurons Stroke
Conclusions Our results indicate that NP1 plays a key role in synaptic clustering of GluR1, suggesting that targeting NP1 might be a practical approach to preventing ischemic brain damage.

Atrial Fibrillation and Outcomes in Heart Failure With Preserved Versus Reduced Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology
Conclusions AF is a potent risk factor for adverse outcomes in patients with HF-PEF or HF-REF. Effective interventions are needed to improve the prognosis of these high-risk patients.

A Risk Score for In-Hospital Death in Patients Admitted With Ischemic or Hemorrhagic Stroke Stroke
Conclusions A single prediction score for all stroke types can be used to predict risk of in-hospital death following stroke admission. Incorporation of NIHSS information substantially improves this predictive accuracy.

Impact of Proton Pump Inhibitor Therapy on the Efficacy of Clopidogrel in the CAPRIE and CREDO Trials Coronary Heart Disease
Conclusions In CREDO, the efficacy of clopidogrel was not significantly affected by PPI use. However, in CAPRIE, clopidogrel was beneficial to non-PPI users while apparently harmful to PPI users. Whether this negative interaction is clinically important for patients receiving clopidogrel without aspirin needs further study.
