Conclusions: These results suggested that ATIP could enhance the cerebral protective effects of AT2 receptor stimulation at least in part due to the increase of CBF and MMS2 expression after ischemia.

This study was done to find out the prevalence of metabolic syndrome among newly diagnosed hypertensive patients in a tertiary care hospital of northern India, Guru Nanak Dev hospital, attached to Government Medical College, Amritsar, India.Methods: It is a hospital based cross sectional study involving one hundred newly diagnosed subjects with hypertension above the age 20 years.
