Efficacy of Antiplatelet Therapy in Secondary Prevention Following Lacunar Stroke: Pooled Analysis of Randomized Trials Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Our results suggest that any of the single antiplatelet agents compared with placebo in the included trials is adequate for secondary stroke prevention after lacunar stroke. Dual antiplatelet therapy should not be used for long-term stroke prevention in this stroke subtype.

Ischemic Stroke and Intracranial Hemorrhage With Aspirin, Dabigatran, and Warfarin: Impact of Quality of Anticoagulation Control Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— In Chinese patients with atrial fibrillation, the benefits of warfarin therapy for stroke prevention and ICH risk are closely dependent on the quality of anticoagulation, as reflected by TTR. Even at the top TTR quartile, warfarin was associated with a higher stroke and ICH risk than dabigatran.

Does Aneurysmal Wall Enhancement on Vessel Wall MRI Help to Distinguish Stable From Unstable Intracranial Aneurysms? Brief Reports
Conclusions— CAWE was more frequently observed in unstable intracranial aneurysms and may be used as a surrogate of inflammatory activity in the aneurysmal wall.

Incidence, Trends, and Predictors of Ischemic Stroke 1 Year After an Acute Myocardial Infarction Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— The risk of ischemic stroke within a year after myocardial infarction is substantial but has clearly been reduced during the studied time period. The major predictive factors found to correlate well with previous investigations. Reperfusion treatment, thrombocyte aggregation inhibition, and lipid lowering are the main contributors to the observed risk reduction.

Predictors of Mortality in Patients With Lacunar Stroke in the Secondary Prevention of Small Subcortical Strokes Trial Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Unexpected interactions between assigned antiplatelet therapy and each of ischemic heart disease and normal/prehypertensive status accounted for increased mortality among patients with recent lacunar stroke given dual antiplatelet therapy. Despite extensive exploratory analyses, the mechanisms underlying these interactions are uncertain. Clinical Trial Registration— URL: http://www.SPS3ClinicalTrials.gov. Early Deterioration After Thrombolysis Plus Aspirin in Acute Stroke: A Post Hoc Analysis of the Antiplatelet Therapy in Combination With Recombinant t-PA Thrombolysis in Ischemic Stroke Trial Brief Reports
Conclusions— In this trial, there is no evidence of an early antithrombotic effect from the addition of aspirin to intravenous thrombolysis in acute ischemic stroke.
