Indobufen or Aspirin on Top of Clopidogrel after Coronary Drug-eluting Stent Implantation (OPTION): a Randomized, Open-label, Endpoint-blinded, Non-inferiority Trial

A Multicenter, Phase 2, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Double-Blind, Parallel-Group, Dose-Finding Trial of the Oral Factor XIa Inhibitor Asundexian to Prevent Adverse Cardiovascular Outcomes Following Acute Myocardial Infarction
CONCLUSIONS: In patients with recent acute MI, 3 doses of asundexian, when added to aspirin plus a P2Y12 inhibitor, resulted in dose-dependent, near-complete inhibition of FXIa activity without a significant increase in bleeding and a low rate of ischemic events. Ticagrelor or Prasugrel in Patients with ST-Segment-Elevation Myocardial Infarction Undergoing Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.
Conclusions: In patients with STEMI undergoing primary PCI, there was no significant difference in the primary endpoint between prasugrel and ticagrelor. Association Between Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors with Cardiovascular Events and Atherosclerotic Plaque.

CONCLUSIONS: These are currently the longest follow-up data comparing TAVR and SAVR in lower risk patients, demonstrating no statistical difference for major clinical outcomes 5 years after TAVR with a self-expanding prosthesis compared to SAVR. A Comparison of Reduced-Dose Prasugrel and Standard-Dose Clopidogrel in Elderly Patients with Acute Coronary Syndromes Undergoing Early Percutaneous Revascularization.
Conclusions -The present study in elderly ACS patients showed no difference in the primary endpoint between reduced-dose prasugrel and standard-dose clopidogrel. Randomized Comparisons of Double-Dose Clopidogrel or Adjunctive Cilostazol versus Standard Dual Anti-platelet in Patients with High Post-Treatment Platelet Reactivity: Results of the CREATIVE Trial (Clopidogrel Response Evaluation and AnTi-platelet InterVEntion in High Thrombotic Risk PCI Patients).
Conclusions -In patients with low responsiveness to clopidogrel, as measured by thromboelastography, the intensified antiplatelet strategies with adjunctive use of cilostazol significantly improved the clinical outcomes without increasing the risk of major bleeding. Decreased trend of negative outcomes could be observed in patients with double dosage of clopidogrel, but the difference was not significant. Mortality and Cerebrovascular Events Following Heart Rhythm Disorder Management Procedures.
Conclusions -Half of the deaths directly related to a HRDM procedure were among the patients undergoing device implantation procedures, with cardiac tamponade being the most common cause of death. This highlights the importance of development of protocols for quick identification and management of cardiac tamponade even in procedures typically believed to be lower risk such as device implantation. Prasugrel versus Ticagrelor in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction Treated with Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: Multicenter Randomized PRAGUE-18 Study.
CONCLUSION: This head-to-head comparison of prasugrel and ticagrelor does not support the hypothesis that one is more effective or safer than the other in preventing ischemic and bleeding events in the acute phase of myocardial infarction treated with primary PCI strategy. The observed rates of major outcomes were similar, although with broad confidence intervals around the estimates. These interesting observations need to be confirmed in a larger trial.
