African Americans and Women Have Lower Functional Gains During Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation After Hemorrhagic Stroke
Conclusions The results of our study indicate that Functional Independence Measure efficiency was worse for African Americans and female patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. Future research should consider these racial and sex disparities and focus on providing targeted rehabilitation therapy.

Differences in Postacute Rehabilitation Recommendations by Ethnicity at an Urban Comprehensive Stroke Center
Conclusions Hispanic patients were less likely to have therapy recommended SNF disposition, with a trend toward significance, but significantly more likely to have actual SNF disposition compared with NHW patients after acute stroke.

Music Upper Limb Therapy–Integrated Provides a Feasible Enriched Environment and Reduces Post-stroke Depression: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial

“Magic” Number of Treadmill Sessions Needed to Achieve Meaningful Change in Gait Speed After Stroke: A Systematic Review
The purpose of this systematic review was to determine the number of treadmill training sessions needed to make a meaningful change in gait speed for chronic stroke survivors. Relevant databases were searched up through February 2020. Articles were included if they fit the following criteria: stroke onset more than 5 mos, intention to treat with traditional treadmill training, and gait speed included as an outcome. Conclusions Standardized rehabilitation measures at inpatient stroke rehabilitation discharge can predict future activity limitations, which may improve prediction of outcome post-stroke and aid in postdischarge treatment planning.

Bounce-Back: Predicting Acute Readmission From Inpatient Rehabilitation for Patients With Stroke
Conclusions Results suggest that certain demographic, medical, and functional characteristics are associated differentially with rehospitalization after completion inpatient rehabilitation. The strongest model was the discharge to the acute hospital model with concordance statistic (c-statistic) of 0.87.

Association Rule Mining to Examine Predictors for the Outcome of Gait Rehabilitation Programs in Stroke Survivors
This study presents a novel application of association rule data mining to determine the predictors of the response to locomotor training and home exercise for improving gait after stroke.
