Incidence and predictors of post‐stroke epilepsy
ConclusionsBased on the revised ILAE definition of epilepsy, the incidence of PSE was high in the ESPro. The only independent predictor for PSE was stroke severity.

Spontaneous ischaemic stroke in dogs: clinical topographic similarities to humans
ConclusionsSpontaneously occurring ischaemic stroke in dogs share characteristics with human ischaemic stroke in terms of clinical symptoms and infarct topography. Investigating pet dogs with spontaneous ischaemic stroke may provide an alternative approach to the research of stroke injury mechanisms as they occur naturally, and should be further investigated.

Safety of off‐label stroke treatment with tissue plasminogen activator
ConclusionsIntravenous thrombolysis with tPA may be safe and efficient in stroke patients with a number of formal contraindications to tPA. Prospective randomized trials are imperative to clarify the need for a re‐evaluation of the current contraindications to tPA.

Clinical consequences of aspirin and clopidogrel resistance: an overview
The aim of this review is to introduce the concept of personalized medicine in secondary stroke prevention with antiplatelet medication. In the last years, many studies have been conducted regarding aspirin resistance and genotyping of clopidogrel metabolism. A review of the currently published data on this issue emphasizes the importance of focusing on the individualizing approach in antiplatelet therapy to achieve maximal therapeutic beneficial effect.
