CONCLUSIONS: Many stroke survivors have untreated depression/anxiety. Primary care practitioners should be supported in undertaking effective detection and management. Association of formal and informal care with health-related quality of life and depressive symptoms: findings from the Caring for Adults Recovering from the Effects of Stroke study.
Conclusions: Shared care was the most common care configuration for stroke participants, but no significant associations were found between shared care and self-reported outcomes after adjusting for stroke participant characteristics. Further research is needed on the dose of informal and formal care and their coordination to better understand relationships with recovery. Predicting goal achievement during stroke rehabilitation for Medicare beneficiaries.
Conclusions: Trends for lower goals and lower discharge function occurred over time. A correlation existed between predicted FIM scores and discharge FIM scores. Patient factors were associated with goal achievement. Implications for Rehabilitation Using the Functional Independence Measure, rehabilitation teams set lower goals for stroke rehabilitation in inpatient rehabilitation facilities during first 5.5 years of the IRF-PAI dataset.
