Post-stroke depression in Vietnamese patients is associated with decreased sleep quality and increased fatigue: a one-institution cross-sectional analysis
CONCLUSION: There is a significant prevalence of depression following stroke. Furthermore, post-stroke fatigue and two PSQI scale components (subjective sleep quality and sleep disturbance) were shown to be associated with PSD. This finding may guide early screening and intervention strategies to address depression following stroke.PMID:36434377 | DOI:10.1007/s11325-022-02745-5

Associations between depression and cardiometabolic health: A 27-year longitudinal study.
CONCLUSIONS: A history of depression symptoms by early midlife is associated with an elevated risk for subsequent development of several self-reported health conditions. When isolated, non-somatic depression symptoms are associated with incident self-reported sleep apnea. Depression symptom history may be a predictor or marker of cardiometabolic risk over decades. Disability weights were borrowed from GBD and Dutch research. In 2008, the total burden of disease in Vietnam was 12.3 million DALYs. Noncommunicable diseases dominated the total burden of diseases in Vietnam, accounting for 71% of the total burden, and cardiovascular disease was the leading cause group of premature death. While pneumonia...
