Randomised controlled trial to investigate optimal antithrombotic therapy in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: a study protocol of the OPTIMA-AF trial
This study received approval from the Certified Review Board of Osaka University (a certified research ethics committee by the Japanese Clinical Research Act). Non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) post-percutaneous coronary intervention: a network meta-analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: Very low- to moderate-certainty evidence suggests no meaningful difference in efficacy outcomes between non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOAC) and vitamin K antagonists following percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) in people with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. NOACs probably reduce the risk of recurrent hospitalisation for adverse events compared with vitamin K antagonists. Efficacy and safety of single vs dual antiplatelet therapy in patients on anticoagulation undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionIn patients requiring OAC undergoing PCI, TAT was associated with a lower risk of myocardial infarction but with a significantly higher risk of major bleeding when compared with DAT.

Introduction Although dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) is routinely given to patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with stenting, the optimal duration is unknown.
