New Remote Cerebral Microbleeds on T2*-Weighted Echo Planar MRI After Intravenous Thrombolysis for Acute Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionIn this study, new CMBs were found in nearly 30% of patients with AIS on the 7–9 days after rtPA treatment. Baseline CMBs correlated with a higher risk of new CMBs appearing after the rtPA treatment, independently of other factors. At the same time, in our sample, baseline CMBs did not correlate with an increased risk of hemorrhagic transformation. Mechanical Thrombectomy for M1 Subocclusive Thrombus With Lateral Lenticulostriate Artery Occlusion: A Case Report and Literature Review

Hemodynamic Differences Between Basilar Artery Fenestration and Normal Vertebrobasilar Artery: A Pilot Study
Conclusions: This pilot study suggested that hemodynamic differences between BAF and normal vertebrobasilar artery across multiple shear flow parameters. The disturbed flow in the BAF may increase the risk of thrombus formation, plaque instability, and subsequent ischemic cerebrovascular events. These should be confirmed by future studies.

Prediction-Driven Decision Support for Patients With Mild Stroke: A Model Based on Machine Learning Algorithms
Conclusions: DAMS and R-DAMS, as prediction-driven decision support tools, were designed to aid clinical decision-making for mild stroke patients in emergency contexts. In addition, even within a narrow range of baseline scores, NIHSS on admission is the strongest feature that contributed to the prediction.

Acute Ischemic Stroke With Mild Symptoms –To Thrombolyse or Not to Thrombolyse?
The objective of this review is to evaluate the current literature and evidence regarding the management of minor stroke, with a particular emphasis on the role of IV thrombolysis. Definition of minor stroke, pre-hospital recognition of minor stroke and stroke of unknown onset are discussed together with neuroimaging aspects and existing evidence for IV thrombolysis in minor strokes. Though current guidelines advise against the use of thrombolysis in those without clearly disabling symptoms due to a paucity of evidence, advanced imaging techniques may be able to identify those likely to benefit. Further research on this topic is ongoing.

Cerebral Venous Thrombosis: Clinical, Radiological, Biological, and Etiological Characteristics of a French Prospective Cohort (FPCCVT) —Comparison With ISCVT Cohort
Conclusions: We demonstrated that the FPCCVT cohort had radiological, biological, and etiological characteristics similar to the historical ISCVT cohort. Nevertheless, the initial clinical presentation was less severe in our study probably due to an improvement in diagnostic methods between the two studies.

Stroke Seasonality and Weather Association in a Middle East Country: A Single Tertiary Center Experience
Conclusions: In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, our study found no impact of weather or seasonal variations on stroke incidence, hospital course, or outcomes. However, our findings warrant further research in different country regions.

No Association Between Thrombus Perviousness and Cardioembolic Stroke Etiology in Basilar Artery Occlusion Stroke
Conclusion: In contrast to proximal middle cerebral artery occlusions, TP in BAO patients is not associated with cardioembolic stroke etiology. Larger confirmatory studies to establish the potential role of TP for clinical applications should focus on patients with anterior circulation stroke.

Low Diastolic Blood Pressure Predicts Good Clinical Outcome in Patients With Cerebral Venous Thrombosis

Hyoid Elongation May Be a Rare Cause of Recurrent Ischemic Stroke in Youth-A Case Report and Literature Review
We describe a case of recurrent ischemic stroke in a young patient presumably attributed to an impingement of the carotid artery by an elongated hyoid bone, and present other cases reported in the literature. Based on the imaging study as well as the lack of other findings, we attributed recurrent neurovascular events to the repetitive mechanical stimulation by the elongated hyoid bone that caused a vessel wall injury with subsequent thrombus and embolus. Given repeated recurrence under antiplatelet treatment, anticoagulation was added. The following 2-year follow-up showed no new neurologic events or any other complaints....

Cardiovascular MRI Compared to Echocardiography to Identify Cardioaortic Sources of Ischemic Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Conclusions: Echocardiography and CMR seem to have similar diagnostic yield for most cardioaortic sources of embolism except persistent foramen ovale and left ventricular thrombus.
