Long ‐term clinical outcomes from real‐world experience of left atrial appendage exclusion with LARIAT device
ConclusionsLong term data from routine clinical practice from our study suggests that LAA exclusion with LARIAT device is an effective treatment in management of non ‐valvular AF patients with high risk of stroke, bleeding and mortality. Further randomized trials, such as aMAZE, will provide more insight in this expanding field. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Association between Epicardial Adipose Tissue and Embolic Stroke after Catheter Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation
ConclusionLarger peri ‐atrial EAT volume, in addition to prior TE and lower CCr, was independently associated with post‐ablation ES regardless of AF recurrence and CHA2DS2‐VASc score. (ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT03479073)This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Efficacy and safety of single vs dual antiplatelet therapy in patients on anticoagulation undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionIn patients requiring OAC undergoing PCI, TAT was associated with a lower risk of myocardial infarction but with a significantly higher risk of major bleeding when compared with DAT.

Delayed Endothelialization of Watchman Device Identified with Cardiac CT
ConclusionThese data reveal that the Watchman device remains porous 6 weeks after implantation in a substantial percentage of patients, suggesting delayed endothelialization of the device. Cardiac CT may help to differentiate between peri ‐device and trans‐fabric leak. Additional studies are required to test whether prolonged anticoagulation in patients with trans‐fabric leak may help to reduce the risk of DRT and ischemic stroke. This article is protected by copyright. Long ‐term follow‐up after left atrial appendage occlusion with comparison of transesophageal echocardiography vs. computed tomography to guide medical therapy and data about post‐closure cardioversion
ConclusionLAA‐occlusion is feasible with an acceptable safety profile and few events during long‐term follow‐up. ECV after LAA‐occlusion is feasible. MDCT could help to evaluate peridevice‐flow. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved

Replacing warfarin with a novel oral anticoagulant: Risk of recurrent bleeding and stroke in patients with warfarin ineligible or failure in patients with atrial fibrillation (The ROAR study)
ConclusionIn WI patients rechallenged with DOACs, a significant proportion developed repeat MBE. LAAO devices seem reasonable in those patients who undergo major interventions to manage MBE with cautious and temporary continuation of DOAC.

Ventricular Tachycardia Ablation in the Presence of Left Ventricular Thrombus: Safety and Efficacy
Conclusion: Initial data suggest ablation of VT in the presence of intracavitary thrombus is feasible, is associated with a similar success rate to historical studies in patients without thrombus, and has an acceptable risk of complications given the high risk nature of patients with ES. Further data is needed; however, the presence of a laminated thrombus should not necessarily preclude ablation in patients who have failed medical therapy for VT in whom ablation is otherwise indicated. This article is protected by copyright.
