North American multicenter experience with the Flow Redirection Endoluminal Device in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms
CONCLUSIONS: As the first large-scale North American multicenter FRED experience, this study confirmed the ease of successful FRED deployment but suggested lower efficacy and a higher rate of complications than reported by previous European and South American studies on FRED and other flow-diverting devices. O10 The necessity of monitoring platelet response and adjusting antiplatelet agents for endovascular treatment of unruptured intracranial aneurysms: a single-center, retrospective, cohort study
ConclusionActive monitoring and adjustment antiplatelet agents did not reduce ischemic complications in endovascular treatment; however, tended to reduce the ischemic complication, especially in flow diversion. E-108 Ruptured intracranial aneurysm presenting as isolated acute subdural hemorrhage
ConclusionIn rare cases, ruptured intracranial aneurysms can be associated with isolated subdural hemorrhage. Common treatment options include endovascular coiling and microsurgical clipping. However, endovascular repair is often preferred especially when the patient may not be able to tolerate a surgical procedure, as was the case with this patient. In this case, the patient presented with stroke-like symptoms and was found to have a subdural hemorrhage.
