Dual vs. mono antiplatelet therapy for acute ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack with evidence of large artery atherosclerosis
ConclusionIn patients with symptomatic large artery extracranial or intracranial atherosclerosis, DAPT was superior to MAPT in preventing IS recurrence without increasing bleeding risks. The optimal DAPT regimens and duration of treatment in this population need to be clarified in further studies.

Effect of Hyperhomocysteinemia on Clinical Outcome and Hemorrhagic Transformation After Thrombolysis in Ischemic Stroke Patients
Conclusion: We found that Hhcy was an independent risk factor for poor outcome, but not an independent risk factor for HT after thrombolysis in ischemic stroke patients. In addition, there was no significant interaction of Hhcy and hypertension on the clinical outcome or HT after thrombolysis.

Dual-Energy CT Follow-Up After Stroke Thrombolysis Alters Assessment of Hemorrhagic Complications
Conclusion: Compared to pCT, DECT within 36 h after IV thrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke, changes the radiological diagnosis of post-treatment ICH to “CS only” in a small proportion of patients. Studies are warranted of whether the altered radiological reports have an impact on patient management, for example initiation timing of antithrombotic secondary prevention.

Conclusion: HT volume is associated with functional outcomes in patients with acute ischemic stroke but not independent of total lesion volume. The extent of a PH2 was associated with outcome, suggesting that measuring hemorrhage volume only provides an additional benefit in the prediction of the outcome when a PH2 is present.

Low-Dose vs. Standard-Dose Intravenous Alteplase in Bridging Therapy Among Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke: Experience From a Stroke Center in Vietnam
Conclusion: In the present study, patients with low-dose alteplase before MTE were found to achieve comparable clinical outcomes compared to those receiving standard-dose alteplase bridging with MTE. The findings suggest potential benefits of low-dose alteplase in bridging therapy for Asian populations, but this needs to be confirmed by further clinical trials.

The Impact of Post-contrast Acute Kidney Injury on In-hospital Mortality After Endovascular Thrombectomy in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion: PC-AKI is rare after EVT but represents an important risk factor for in-hospital mortality and for mortality within 3 months after hospital discharge. Preventing PC-AKI after EVT may represent an important and potentially lifesaving effort in future daily clinical practice.

Proteomics-Based Approach to Identify Novel Blood Biomarker Candidates for Differentiating Intracerebral Hemorrhage From Ischemic Stroke —A Pilot Study
Discussion: In this exploratory proteomics-based pilot study, nine candidate biomarkers for differentiation of IS and ICH were identified. The proteins belong to the immune system, the coagulation cascade, and the apoptosis system, respectively. Further investigations in larger cohorts of patients with stroke using additional biochemical analysis methods, such as ELISA or Western Blotting are now necessary to validate these markers, and to characterize diagnostic accuracy with regard to the development of a point-of-care-system for use in resource-limited areas.
