Congenital thrombocytopenia, intractable menorrhagia at menarche and Ischemic stroke
We present a rare case of severe intractable menorrhagia occurring with the first period in a 12-year-old girl who has a positive family history of bleeding disorder. She presented with a series of challenges in terms of diagnosis, management, and therapy.

Hi, I’m Kate, 39, married with no children. I had always suffered from heavy and painful periods but this had mostly been managed by taking the combined pill. My periods remained heavy and I suffered from some flooding but this was manageable with planning! ABSTRACT: In June 2013, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved paroxetine (Brisdelle, Noven) for the treatment of moderate to severe hot flushes (vasomotor symptoms) associated with menopause. Brisdelle is the only nonhormonal treatment approved by the FDA for this indication. Prior to approval of Brisdelle, FDA-approved treatments for hot flashes were hormones containing either estrogen alone or estrogen plus a progestin.
