The contribution  of genotype-guided selection of P2Y12 inhibitor on prognosis in ACS /CCS patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: a retrospective cohort study
ConclusionsGenotype-guided selection of P2Y12 inhibitor made a very positive contribution on the prognosis in Chinese ACS/CCS patients undergoing PCI. Instead of intensifying antiplatelet strategies, conventional-dose clopidogrel could be recommended as P2Y12 inhibitor after weighing MACEs and bleeding events in CYP2C19 IM patients.

Long-term effectiveness and safety of cilostazol versus clopidogrel in secondary prevention of noncardioembolic ischemic stroke
ConclusionsThis real-world study suggests that cilostazol is effective and safe for noncardioembolic ischemic stroke and may be associated with better effectiveness in hypertensive patients compared to clopidogrel.

Non-major bleeding risk of direct oral anticoagulants versus vitamin K antagonists for stroke prevention with atrial fibrillation: a systematic review and network meta-analysis
ConclusionsBased on current evidence, for stroke prevention in patients with AF, the safest DOAC is apixaban in terms of non-major bleeding. This suggests that apixaban may have a lower risk of non-major bleeding than other anticoagulants and may help provide some clinical reference for choosing a more appropriate drug for the patient.

Increased major bleeding incidence in atrial fibrillation patients with apixaban: a review of Japanese post-marketing surveillance studies of direct oral anticoagulants
AbstractLarge-scaled post-marketing surveillance studies (PMSSs) of 4 direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) for stroke prevention in non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF) were conducted since 2011 in Japan, and the results of the last one have recently been published. Each reported a more than acceptable ischemic stroke prevention. The major bleeding rates were also acceptably low and comparable to each other in the PMSSs of dabigatran (J-dabigatran), rivaroxaban (XAPASS), and edoxaban (ETNA-AF-Japan). Evaluation and subgroup analysis of the efficacy and safety of intensive rosuvastatin therapy combined with dual antiplatelet therapy in patients with acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionsWithout increasing bleeding and statin-associated adverse events, intensive rosuvastatin therapy plus 7-day DAPT significantly reduced the risk of recurrent stroke, especially for subgroups with high-risk factors.Clinical trial registration. Utilization of triple antithrombotic therapy in patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention
ConclusionsThe utilization of TAT following PCI among high-stroke risk AF patients steadily increased from 2011 to 2020, reaching 65.4% by the end of the study period. However, in 2020, a significant proportion of 29.4% of patients still received DAPT, indicating that many AF patients undergoing PCI did not receive adequate antithrombotic therapy.

The efficacy and safety of direct oral anticoagulants versus vitamin K antagonists in patients with left-sided bioprosthetic heart valves and atrial fibrillation: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionOur meta-analysis demonstrated that in patients with AF and BHV, compared with VKAs, using DOACs was associated with reduced stroke and major bleeding events without an increase of all-cause mortality and any bleeding. In the population younger than 75  years old, DOAC might be more effective in preventing cardiogenic stroke.

The impact of enteric coating of aspirin on aspirin responsiveness in patients with suspected or newly diagnosed ischemic stroke: prospective cohort study: results from the (ECASIS) study
ConclusionA significant proportion of ASA non-responsiveness was recorded regardless of ASA formulation administered. The increased risk of ASA non-responsiveness in diabetic patients needs further exploration by larger prospective studies.
