Use of CHA2DS2-VASc score to predict the risk of ischemic stroke and mortality in patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting surgery: a retrospective cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: Ischemic stroke was associated with a higher mortality risk after CABG. Higher CHA2DS2-VASc scores were associated with higher ischemic stroke risk. POAF did not significantly affect the relationship between CHA2DS2-VASc scores and ischemic stroke. CHA2DS2-VASc score can be used to predict ischemic stroke and mortality following CABG.PMID:36734704 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202301_31062

Application value of transcranial contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in evaluating middle cerebral artery stenosis
CONCLUSIONS: Transcranial contrast-enhanced ultrasonography can improve the display rate of intracranial blood vessels and can accurately diagnose MCA stenosis.PMID:36647872 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202301_30875

Midodrine and albumin as a possible "winning pair" in managing paracentesis-induced circulatory dysfunction: a clinical case report
CONCLUSIONS: Our clinical case wants to show how not all PICDs are secondary to hepatic dysfunctions with Midodrine playing a possible therapeutic role by counteracting the pathophysiological mechanism in a rapid and non-invasive way, representing a valid therapeutic option in adjunction to albumin.PMID:36591858 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202212_30680

Association of the stress hyperglycemia ratio and clinical outcomes in patients with cardiovascular diseases: a systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Higher SHR significantly increases the occurrence of MACCEs and all-cause death and decreases LVEF. Moreover, Higher SHR means a higher risk of cardiogenic shock and stroke. Nevertheless, SHR had no relationship with revascularization, recurrent MI, and LVEDD. As a novel and non-invasive marker, SHR should be paid more attention to in clinical practice. Future investigation should focus on the diagnostic value of SHR in CVD and the early control of stress hyperglycemia. Although no randomized, double-blind studies have been conducted, the available massive sample studies reflect the actual situation in the cli...

Rescue stenting after the failure of intravenous thrombolysis and bridging thrombolysis: an initial Vietnamese report
CONCLUSIONS: Rescue stenting appears to represent an additional therapeutic option in cases that fail to resolve with IV alteplase, which may improve clinical outcomes.PMID:36591828 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202212_30667
