NOD ‐like receptor pyrin domain‐containing‐3 (NLRP3) regulates inflammation‐induced pro‐labor mediators in human myometrial cells
ConclusionNLRP3 is increased with labor in myometrial, and knockdown of NLRP3 is associated with an attenuation of inflammation‐induced expression of pro‐inflammatory and pro‐labor mediators in human myometrium.

TRADD, TRAF2, RIP1 and TAK1 are required for TNF ‐α‐induced pro‐labour mediators in human primary myometrial cells
ConclusionTRADD, TRAF2, RIP1 and TAK1 are involved in TNF‐α signalling in human myometrium. Further studies are required to determine whether inhibition of these proteins can prevent preterm birth.

Cellular Inhibitors of Apoptosis Proteins cIAP1 and cIAP2 are Increased after Labour in Foetal Membranes and Myometrium and are Essential for TNF‐α‐Induced Expression of Pro‐Labour Mediators
ConclusioncIAP1 and cIAP2 are increased after labour in fetal membranes and myometrium and are involved in TNF‐α induced‐expression of pro‐labour mediators. Thus, cIAP1 and cIAP2 represent novel therapeutic targets for the prevention of spontaneous preterm birth.

The TLR2 Ligand FSL‐1 and the TLR5 Ligand Flagellin Mediate Pro‐Inflammatory and Pro‐Labour Response via MyD88/TRAF6/NF‐κB‐Dependent Signalling
ConclusionTLR2 engagement by the synthetic lipoprotein FSL‐1 and TLR5 engagement by bacterial flagellin enhances pro‐inflammatory and pro‐labour mediators in human fetal membranes and myometrium via MyD88/TRAF6/NF‐κB.
