Conclusion This paper summarizes the current findings regarding the anti-colitis activity of plant-derived alkaloids and shows how these alkaloids exhibit significant and beneficial effects in alleviating colonic inflammation. Abstract Polyphyllin VI (PP-VI) is one of the major saponins present in Paris polyphylla Sm., a medicinal plant primarily used for cancer treatment in China and India.
