Abstract
Icariin, the main active flavonoid glucoside isolated from Herba epimedii, has been demonstrated to be a potential alternative therapy to prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis. Icariin has also been shown to regulate the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow stromal cells (rBMSCs).
