HMGB1 ‐induced asthmatic airway inflammation through GRP75‐mediated enhancement of ER‐mitochondrial Ca2+ transfer and ROS increased
Abstract Imbalanced T‐helper (TH)1/Th2 response contributes significantly to asthma pathogenesis. Our study indicated that HMGB1 play an important role in the release of Th2‐associated cytokines of asthma. However, the specific mechanism about HMGB1‐induced imbalanced TH1/Th2 response is not known. In vivo, an OVA‐induced asthma mouse model was set up and mice treated with anti‐HMGB1 IgG. The mice treated with the anti‐HMGB1 IgG ameliorated airway hyper‐reactivity, disruption of Th1/Th2 balance and the upregulation of GRP75 induced by OVA. In vitro, the exposure of normal human bronchial epithelial cells to H...

Proliferation and apoptosis of rheumatoid arthritis fibroblast ‐like synoviocytes following signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 RNA interference delivery
Conclusion: Transfection with targeted STAT3 recombinant plasmids effectively inhibited the expression of STAT3 mRNA and its protein in RA‐FLSs. RNAi‐mediated silencing of STAT3 reduced the proliferation and promoted the apoptosis of FLSs. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved

Knockdown of Ski decreased the reactive astrocytes proliferation in vitro induced by oxygen ‐glucose deprivation/reoxygenation
This study is to elucidate the role of Ski in reactive astrocytes induced by oxygen‐glucose deprivation/reoxygenation (OGD/R) model in vitro. The expression of Ski was proved to be up‐regulated in OGD/R model. Meanwhile, Up‐regulation of Ski was accompanied with high ratio of EdU (+) cells and up‐expression of related proteins including GFAP, PCNA, CDK4 and CyclinD1, which demonstrated the distinct activation and proliferation of astrocytes after stimulation by OGD/R. Astrocytes were transfected with Ski‐specific siRNA to knockdown Ski expression and subsequently attenuated OGD‐induced astrocyte proliferation. ...

Rs4705342 polymorphism is involved in the tumorigenesis of HBV positive HCC by altering the binding affinity of HBV induced NF ‐kB with the promoter region of microRNA‐143
Conclusion: The presence of the minor allele of rs4705342 in the promoter of miR‐143 attenuated the transcription ability. This promoted ORP8 expression and could be a factor contributing to the oncogenesis in HBV positive HCC. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved

Silencing of Phospholipase C gamma 2 Promotes Proliferation of Rat Hepatocytes In Vitro
In conclusion, these findings suggest that interference with PLCγ2 expression could relieve the inhibitory effect of PLCγ2 on hepaocyte apoptosis, thus promote proliferation through inactivating PKCδ‐mediated JNK1/2 signaling pathway. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved

NGAL gene silencing inhibits proliferation and promotes apoptosis of human gastric cancer cells: an in vivo and in vitro study
This study aims to explore effects of neutrophil gelatinase‐associated lipocalin (NGAL) gene silencing on the proliferation and apoptosis of human gastric cancer MGC‐803 and SGC‐7901 cells. NGAL‐siRNA was designed, synthesized and randomly divided into NGAL‐siRNA and control‐siRNA groups. Gastric cancer cells MGC‐803 and SGC‐7901 were grouped into blank, NGAL‐OE, and control‐OE groups. Expression of NGAL and apoptosis‐related proteins were detected by qRT‐PCR and Western blotting. Cell cycle and apoptosis were tested by flow cytometry, and cell proliferation by water soluble tetrazolium‐1 (WST‐1...
