Abstract Both of gp91(phox) (an isoform of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate reduced oxidases) and Src (a non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase) are abundantly expressed in the brain and play a prominent role in mediating ischemic alteration in neurons.
