Application of remote electrocardiogram monitoring systems in chest pain centers for patients with high-risk chest pain
CONCLUSION: With remote real-time dynamic 12-lead ECG monitoring equipment, myocardial ischemia can be treated more quickly, leading to fewer possible cardiac events and a better prognosis.PMID:37694323 | DOI:10.3233/THC-230582

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation combined with levofloxacin and tamsulosin for patients with chronic prostatitis: clinical efficacy and changes in serum factors
CONCLUSION: Compared to medication alone (levofloxacin and tamsulosin), the combination of TENS with levofloxacin and tamsulosin can reduce the levels of inflammatory and pain-causing factors in patients, and improve the efficacy. Importantly, it has been observed that this combination therapy does not lead to an increase in adverse reactions and is considered to be safe for patients.PMID:37692965 | PMC:PMC10492048

The effects of modified Guizhi plus Gegen decoction combined with the blade needle therapy on TCM syndromes, cervical curvature and levels of inflammatory factors in patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy
CONCLUSION: Modified Guizhi plus Gegen decoction combined with the blade needle therapy effectively improved the TCM syndrome scores, restored the curvature of the cervical spine, improved the hemorheology of patients, inhibited the levels of inflammatory factors and it also has few adverse reactions, with a significant treatment effect in patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.PMID:37692957 | PMC:PMC10492064

Blood-letting therapy combined with Master Tung's Five-tiger Point Scraping (Gua Sha) for patients with hematological malignancy and chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuritis
CONCLUSION: Shixuan and Qiduan blood-letting therapy combined with Master Tung's Five-tiger Point (11.27) Scraping could improve the SDR and pain NRS scores, facilitate the recovery of neural functions, and advance the QoL of patients with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuritis without increasing the risk of adverse reactions.PMID:37692923 | PMC:PMC10492046

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on erectile function in Chinese CP/CPPS patients
This study aimed to investigate the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on erectile function in Chinese patients with chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS). A retrospective study was conducted on 657 CP/CPPS patients who visited The Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University (Changsha, China) from November 2018 to November 2022. Patients were divided into two groups based on the timeline before and after the COVID-19 outbreak in China. The severity of CP/CPPS, penile erection status, anxiety, and depression was evaluated using the National Institutes of Health-Chronic Pro...
