Parental Vaccine Hesitancy in Quebec (Canada)
This study aims to contribute to the ongoing reflections on tools and indicators of vaccine hesitancy by providing results of a survey on knowledge, attitudes and beliefs (KAB) of parents in Quebec (Canada). We have compared KAB of parents according to: 1) self-reported vaccination status of their child and 2) hesitation during the vaccination decision. Cross-sectional survey: Risk-averse French general practitioners are more favorable toward influenza vaccination.
CONCLUSION: Individual risk attitudes may influence GPs' practices regarding influenza vaccination, both for themselves and their patients. Our results suggest that risk-averse GPs may perceive the risks of influenza to outweigh the potential risks related to the vaccine. PMID: 25545596 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
