Homeopathy in Africa versus ‘Civilised Countries’
Homoeopathic Links 2016; 29: 032-035DOI: 10.1055/s-0036-1572344The author, educated in classic homeopathy in the Netherlands from 1981 to 1985, discovered the big differences between practising homeopathy at home in the Netherlands and working in Malawi, Africa. In his opinion this is due to massive vaccination and the use of enormous amounts of allopathic drugs (in Europe). For the so-called ‘civilised world’ this is a catastrophe. To practise in this ‘civilised world’, the struggling homeopaths need ‘sophisticated homeopathy’. In Malawi only basic and straightforward homeopathy as taught by Hahnemann, Kent an...

Homeopathic Prevention and Management of Epidemic Diseases.
CONCLUSION:  Several different homeopathic methods can be used to treat epidemic diseases. The challenge for the future is to refine these approaches and to build on the knowledge base with additional rigorous trials. If and when conventional medicine runs out of options for treating epidemic diseases, homeopathy could be seen as an attractive alternative, but only if there is viable experimental evidence of its success. Preparation, standardization and in  vitro safety testing of Mycobacterium nosodes (Emtact- polyvalent nosode).
CONCLUSION: Mycobacterium nosodes sourced from individual strain and polyvalent Emtact nosode in vitro testing results found to be satisfactory for its handling and utilization. The nosode seems to be safe and may be tested further in vivo to explore its therapeutic application. PMID: 27473543 [PubMed - in process]

Homeopathic medicines for prevention of influenza and acute respiratory tract infections in children: blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial.
CONCLUSION: These results suggested that the use of homeopathic medicines minimized the number of flu and acute respiratory infection symptomatic episodes in children, signalizing that the homeopathic prophylactic potential should be investigated in further studies. Immune and Antioxidant Enzyme Response of Longfin Yellowtail (Seriola rivoliana) Juveniles to Ultra-diluted Substances Derived from Phosphorus, Silica and Pathogenic Vibrio.
CONCLUSIONS:  The results suggest that the overall effect of H1 was due to the presence of unknown antigens in low concentrations, while the response to H2-specifically during challenge-may have been due to a stimulating effect of nano-structures, prevailing from mother tincture after sequential dilution/succussion, in a pathway similar to that attributed to nano-vaccines. Role of Homeopathy in Epidemics: Paving Way for a Plausible Solution in the Management of COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 Infection
Homœopathic Links DOI: 10.1055/s-0040-1717054The emergence and spread of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from Wuhan, China, has become a global threat. The high infectivity and drastic outcomes have made this a paramount health concern. Effective therapy or vaccine to arrest the progress has still not been proved. Homeopathy has a long reputation and evidence of intervening in several epidemic situations, notably the recent influenza. Symptoms-based personalised approach makes it more precise to treat patients. The symptom complex presented by several patients suffering from the COVID-19 can help to select t...

Dengue Shock Syndrome: Its Similarity with Anaphylaxis and with the Homeopathic Medicine Apis mellifica (European Honeybee)
Homeopathy. 2021 Nov 8. doi: 10.1055/s-0041-1734027. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDengue, with four viral serotypes, causes epidemics in tropical and sub-tropical regions. Allopathic antiviral therapies and a vaccine of general use are lacking. The homeopathic medicine Apis mellifica, advised in anaphylaxis from honeybee sting, is proposed to address the life-threatening dengue shock syndrome, which develops from dengue hemorrhagic fever and has features of anaphylaxis. In both dengue and anaphylaxis, immunoglobulin E activates, and released vasoactive mediators (importantly histamine, tryptase and platelet-activating fac...

Introspecting Scope of Ultra-Diluted Homeopathic Preparations in Human SARS-CoV-2 Infection: A Perspective Review
Homœopathic Links 2021; 34: 112-118 DOI: 10.1055/s-0041-1732782Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a zoonotic disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Its symptoms range from mild fever, cough, pharyngitis to severe acute respiratory syndrome. Since its first outbreak in Wuhan province of China, the disease has spread worldwide and emerged as pandemic. The infection is mainly spread by droplets and through contacts. Initially SARS-CoV-2 was thought to cause viral pneumonia only, but now it is evident that the virus can spread through the bloodstream and can cause systemic les...

Vaccine Hesitancy: Clarifying a Theoretical Framework for an Ambiguous Notion
Conclusion In this paper, we have discussed some of the ambiguities and contradictions of the notion of vaccine hesitancy. We have argued that it is currently more a catchall category than a real concept. This lack of consistence is likely to hamper both research and interventions. Therefore, as a supplement to the previous work carried out by the SAGE working group, we propose grounding the notion of vaccine hesitancy in an explicit theoretical framework that takes some major structural features of contemporary societies into account. We consider VH to be a kind of decision-making process that depends on people’s level ...
