Attitudes To and Uptake of Repertory Software in Homeopathy Clinical Practice-Results of an International Survey
CONCLUSION: This preliminary study presents some potentially significant uptake, usage and attitude markers that stand to shed light on the practice of homeopathy and the place of emerging technologies such as repertory software. Ultimately, more research is needed to help identify and address the challenges, risks and tensions around integration of practice-enhancing technologies in CM educational and clinical settings to best serve the diverse and changing needs of practitioners.PMID:36138533 | DOI:10.1055/s-0042-1748841

Cancer Patient Motives and Expectations on Non-medical Practitioners
CONCLUSION: There is a high proportion of cancer patients visiting NMPs mostly for additional treatment. Biologically-based treatments may induce side-effects and interactions, especially as NMPs are not trained on medically accepted cancer treatment and medications. Offering information on CAM and improving the physician-patient relationship are important means to answer unmet needs from the side of the patient.PMID:36099132 | DOI:10.21873/invivo.12986

Data Collection during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Learning from Experience, Resulting in a Bayesian Repertory.
CONCLUSION:  A repertory based on clinical data and LRs can differentiate between homeopathic medicines using a limited number of frequently occurring epidemic symptoms. A Bayesian computer algorithm to combine symptoms can complement a full homeopathic analysis of cases. PMID: 33395709 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Preparing and Presenting Journal Club Content: An Essential Component of Homeopathic Learning.
Abstract Homeopathic education has passed through significant incremental changes in the past few years, where especially postgraduate education has become increasingly slanted toward advanced knowledge of clinical work and research methods. Among many educational activities, a great source of learning is from presenting at or attending a journal club meeting, which is a gathering of people to learn and to critically appraise a journal article or other study material. There has been little previous guidance in homeopathy regarding how to prepare and present journal club content. Selection of a suitable topic is on...

Reasons for Use of and Experiences with Homeopathic Treatment as an Adjunct to Usual Cancer Care: Results of a Small Qualitative Study.
CONCLUSION:  The cancer patients in this study sought homeopathy to address their hopes and concerns and to help them face obstacles and find support. They were actively taking responsibility for their own health and valued the whole person approach used by their homeopaths. Participants reported improved well-being both at the physical and mental levels. The results provide a basis for further research to learn more from patients' experiences with this intervention. Such knowledge could potentially be helpful to improve healthcare practitioners' communication with patients, and thereby patients' overall care. PMID:...

Molecules, Vol. 23, Pages 2384: Deep Learning in Drug Discovery and Medicine; Scratching the Surface
erg Prakash Narayan The practice of medicine is ever evolving. Diagnosing disease, which is often the first step in a cure, has seen a sea change from the discerning hands of the neighborhood physician to the use of sophisticated machines to use of information gleaned from biomarkers obtained by the most minimally invasive of means. The last 100 or so years have borne witness to the enormous success story of allopathy, a practice that found favor over earlier practices of medical purgatory and homeopathy. Nevertheless, failures of this approach coupled with the omics and bioinformatics revolution spurred precision me...

Teaching midwives homeopathy—A Belgian pilot project
ConclusionsTraining midwives in homeopathy requires considerably more time than the 50 contact hours stipulated by law and would best be offered as interactive sessions providing powerful concrete case examples, spread over the course of one full year to allow for integration of the material into practice.
