Evaluation of Parasitological Homeopathic Complex in the Control of Gastrointestinal Nematodes in Peripartum Sheep.
CONCLUSIONS:  H20 treatment in peripartum sheep resulted in greater body weight and lower leukocyte count. H10 was associated with lower FEC for Trichostrongylidae. Both H10 and H20 justify a label of 'effective anthelmintic' for Cooperia. PMID: 31163453 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Effect of Homeopathic Medicines on Intestinal Coccidia and Immune Response Cells in Spotted Rose Snapper (Lutjanus guttatus).
CONCLUSION:  Homeopathic treatments had a positive effect on fish health. Besides the accumulation of metabolic reserves in the liver, homeopathic treatment was associated with mucin increase in gills as well as raised production of lymphocytes and neutrophils in blood, which could act as macrophages against intestinal coccidia. Effects of Homeopathic Phosphorus on Encephalitozoon cuniculi-Infected Macrophages In-Vitro.
CONCLUSIONS:  Phos 200 cH has a modulatory action on the activity of infected macrophages, especially a specific increase in RANTES, a key element in the prognosis of E. cuniculi-infected and of immunosuppressed patients bearing infections. PMID: 30999383 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

M1 homeopathic complex trigger effective responses against Leishmania (L) amazonensis in vivo and in vitro.
Abstract Leishmaniasis is a term referring to a range of clinical conditions caused by protozoan parasites of the genus Leishmania, Trypanosomatidae family, Kinetoplastida order that is transmitted by the bite of certain species of mosquitoes Phlebotominae subfamily. These parasites infect hosts wild and domestic mammals, considered as natural reservoirs and can also infect humans. Leishmania are obligate intramacrophage protozoa that have exclusively intracellular life style. This suggests that the amastigotes possess mechanisms to avoid killing by host cells. Cutaneous leishmaniasis, the most common form of the ...

Different treatment schemes and dynamizations of Trypanosoma cruzi biotherapies: what information do they transfer to the organism in infected mice?
CONCLUSIONS: The effects of T. cruzi biotherapies depend on frequency at which they are administered, dynamization, and host-parasite relationship/individual susceptibility of treated organism. Biotherapy appeared to transfer to infected organism 'antigenic information' related to parasite and 'disease information' related to molecules produced by host's immune response and contained in the buffy coat used to prepare the medication. Gastrointestinal strongyles burden monitoring in a flock of Zerasca sheep treated with homeopathy
Conclusions In this farm, a thorough monitoring of the gastrointestinal parasite burden together with a BCS and FAMACHA evaluation allowed the amount of chemical treatments to be limited, normally administered twice a year without laboratory tests.

Highly diluted medication reduces tissue parasitism and inflammation in mice infected by Trypanosoma cruzi.
CONCLUSIONS: Ly with 13cH potency had significantly more benefits in the treatment of mice infected with T. cruzi, reducing the number of blood parasites, amastigote nests in tissue, and the number of amastigotes per nest and increasing animal survival. PMID: 27211326 [PubMed - in process]

Current drug therapy and pharmaceutical challenges for chagas disease.
CURRENT DRUG THERAPY AND PHARMACEUTICAL CHALLENGES FOR CHAGAS DISEASE. Acta Trop. 2015 Dec 30; Authors: Bermudez J, Davies C, Simonazzi A, Pablo Real J, Palma S Abstract One of the most significant health problems in the American continent in terms of human health, and socioeconomic impact is Chagas disease, caused by the protozoan parasite Trypanosoma cruzi. Infection was originally transmitted by reduviid insects, congenitally from mother to fetus, and by oral ingestion in sylvatic/rural environments, but blood transfusions, organ transplants, laboratory accidents, and sharing of contaminated syring...

Immunological models in high dilution research following M Bastide.
Abstract In 1994, Madeleine Bastide described experimental models in immunology that were used during the 1980s to investigate high dilution effects on several biological systems. She classified the available papers in four categories: High dilutions of antigens; High dilutions of thymus, bursa and other hormones; High dilutions of cytokines; Immunopharmacological activity of silica. The studies about high dilutions of antigens were not continued after this period, but gave rise to a long process of a series of in vitro models on antigens and histamine dilutions, that led to the demonstration of the biological mo...

Trypanosoma cruzi: Biotherapy made from trypomastigote modulates the inflammatory response.
CONCLUSION: There is a difference of high diluted medication effect in four and eight-week-old mice. In the group of animals 8 weeks the immunomodulatory effect seems to have been higher. Hence, treatment with the medicine produced from T. cruzi modulates the inflammatory response with increased apoptosis and decreased serum levels of TGF-β. PMID: 25576271 [PubMed - in process]

Modulation of inflammation response to murine cutaneous Leishmaniasis by homeopathic medicines: Antimonium crudum 30cH.
CONCLUSION: The treatment of mice with Antimonium crudum 30cH induced a predominantly B cell pattern of immune response in Leishmania (L.) amazonensis experimental infection, alongside the increase of free amastigote forms number in the infection site. The clinical significance of this study is discussed, further studies are suggested. PMID: 25439043 [PubMed - in process]

Modulation of inflammation response to murine cutaneous Leishmaniosis by homeopathic medicines: Thymulin 5cH.
CONCLUSIONS: Thymulin 5cH is able to improve B1 cell activation and Leishmania (L) amazonensis phagocytosis efficiency in mice, similarly to that observed previously in BCG experimental infection. PMID: 25439044 [PubMed - in process]

Morpho-functional response of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) to a homeopathic complex.
CONCLUSION: The addition of Homeopatila 100(®) at a concentration 40 mL per kg/meal to the diet of juvenile Nile tilapias resulted in improved hepatocytes and intracellular glycogen levels as well as the lowest mean rate of branchial histological changes with an increase in acidic mucin-producing cells compared to neutral mucin-producing cells, compared to control.
