The SAFE (Social Accountability as the Framework for Engagement) for Health Institutions project: Rapid evidence narratives
CONCLUSION: Rapid evidence narratives that summarize and mobilize evidence on key social accountability topics further the understanding of social accountability in family medicine and in other settings where family physicians work. Mapping actions across the micro, meso, and macro levels of care is a practical way to link front-line, bottom-up actions with a top-down social accountability strategy.PMID:37704232 | PMC:PMC10498899 | DOI:10.46747/cfp.6909630

The Association Between Self-Reported Anxiety and Retention in Opioid Agonist Therapy: Findings From a Canadian Pragmatic Trial
CONCLUSIONS: Baseline anxiety severity did not significantly impact retention in OAT for adults with POUD, and there was no significant effect modification by OAT type. However, the overall retention rates were low, highlighting the need to develop new strategies to minimize the risk of attrition from treatment.CLINICAL TRIAL REGISTRATION: This study was registered in ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT03033732).PMID:37697811 | DOI:10.1177/07067437231194385

A novel cuproptosis-related gene prognostic signature in colon adenocarcinoma
This study plans to establish a survival prognosis model for colon adenocarcinoma (COAD) patients based on cuproptosis-related genes (CRGs). We investigated the genetic alterations of CRGs in COAD based on The Cancer Genome Atlas database and validated in the GSE41328 dataset. Our results showed that LIPT1, PDHA1, GLS, and CDKN2A had significantly higher expression in COAD tissues than in normal tissues, while FDX1, DLD, and MTF1 had significantly lower expression in COAD tissues than in normal tissues (|(log2(fold change))| > 2, p < 0.05). DLD (hazard ratio (HR): 0.658; 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.445, 0.974; p ...
