Thirty years of research on photoacoustic imaging in the field of cancer: A scientometric analysis of hotspots, bursts, and research trends
Environ Sci Pollut Res Int. 2023 Aug 23. doi: 10.1007/s11356-023-29243-9. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTAs a novel imaging modality based on photoacoustic effects, photoacoustic imaging (PAI) has shown great potential in biomedical applications, especially in the field of cancer. The purpose of our research was to identify collaborations between different institutions, authors, and countries, and to explore the hotspots and prospects of PAI research in the field of cancer. We downloaded publications on PAI research from the Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCI-E) of the Web of Science Core Collection database. Bibliometric...

Reducing Student Workload Through Curricular Efficiency
Am J Pharm Educ. 2023 Aug;87(8):100015. doi: 10.1016/j.ajpe.2022.12.002. Epub 2023 Mar 15.ABSTRACTOBJECTIVE: This integrative review will examine the current literature assessing student workload, outcomes of increased workload and cognitive load, and approaches to evaluate and reduce student workload. Recommendations to better inform curriculum planning efforts will be presented along with a call to action to address the dilemma of student workload and curricular efficiency efforts.FINDINGS: Literature supports that perceptions of heavy workload can influence students' approach to learning and lead to the adoption of surf...

Perspectives of Professionalism, Self-Awareness, Leadership, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship From Experiential Education Preceptors
CONCLUSION: Variation among preceptors in conceptualization, learning activities, and comfort in assessment for ACPE-S4 key elements highlights the need for support and resources to assist preceptors in developing activities and assessments for skills reflective of ACPE-S4 key elements. Preceptors commonly relied on vulnerable communication with students to assess key element skills, identifying a potential target for assessment and preceptor development. Pharmacy programs, in addition to the Academy, could benefit from using assessments already offered by preceptors. Finally, explicit evaluation criteria may help to guide...
