Correlative CD4 and CD8 T-cell immunodominance in humans and mice: Implications for preclinical testing
In this study, we addressed this matter by analyzing experimentally identified epitopes based on published data curated in the Immune Epitopes DataBase (IEDB) database. We first analyzed SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) and nucleoprotein (N), which are two common targets of the immune response and well studied in both human and mouse systems. We observed a weak but statistically significant correlation between human and H-2b mouse T-cell responses (CD8 S specific (r = 0.206, p = 1.37 × 10-13); CD4 S specific (r = 0.118, p = 2.63 × 10-5) and N specific (r = 0.179, p = 2.55 × 10-4)). Due to intrinsic differences in MHC molecules acro...

Full eradication of pre-clinical human papilloma  virus-induced tumors by a lentiviral vaccine
EMBO Mol Med. 2023 Sep 7:e17723. doi: 10.15252/emmm.202317723. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTHuman papillomavirus (HPV) infections are the cause of all cervical and numerous oropharyngeal and anogenital cancers. The currently available HPV vaccines, which induce neutralizing antibodies, have no therapeutic effect on established tumors. Here, we developed an immuno-oncotherapy against HPV-induced tumors based on a non-integrative lentiviral vector encoding detoxified forms of the Early E6 and E7 oncoproteins of HPV16 and 18 genotypes, namely, "Lenti-HPV-07". A single intramuscular injection of Lenti-HPV-07 into mice bearing...

Diagnosis of a Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2 (RHDV2) and the Humoral Immune Protection Effect of VP60 Vaccine
This study suggested that the clinical application of VP60 may provide new ideas for preventing the spread of RHD2.PMID:37623236 | PMC:PMC10453004 | DOI:10.3390/cimb45080417
