Patient-reported Outcomes and Muscle Strength after a Physiotherapy-led Exercise and Support Brace Intervention in Patients with Acute Injury of the Posterior Cruciate Ligament: A Two-year Follow-up Study
CONCLUSIONS: The physiotherapy-led exercise and support brace intervention demonstrated clinically relevant improvements in patient-reported outcomes and knee flexion strength, and the risk of PCL surgical reconstruction was considered low within the first two years.LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: 3b©The Author(s).PMID:37547839 | PMC:PMC10399121 | DOI:10.26603/001c.83214

Availability of Physical Rehabilitation Facilities for People with Disabilities in Iran: A Comparative Study on Universal Health Coverage
CONCLUSION: According to the WHO report and the rehabilitation expert panel, it was concluded that the number of rehabilitation facilities including rehabilitation centers and workforce was limited in Iran and that the available centers were also poorly distributed in the provinces of the country. This made it difficult for people to have fair access to rehabilitation services. It appears that health policymakers should pay special attention to further developing rehabilitation facilities.PMID:37542402 | DOI:10.34172/aim.2022.109

Prevalence of unmet rehabilitation needs among Canadians living with long-term conditions or disabilities during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic
CONCLUSIONS: In this sample, almost fifty percent of Canadians living with long-term conditions or disabilities had unmet rehabilitation needs during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. This suggests that a significant gap between the needs for and delivery of rehabilitation care existed during the early phase of the pandemic.PMID:37541355 | DOI:10.1016/j.apmr.2023.07.010
