Frequency of Kell and Rh alloantibodies in Iranian Thalassemia Patients in Khorasan Razavi Province, Iran
Conclusion: According to the results of this paper, finding the compatible packed cells in terms of Kell and Rh systems antigens in addition to the ABO blood group is recommended to decrease the rate of alloantibodies in thalassemia patients.PMID:37638288 | PMC:PMC10448921 | DOI:10.18502/ijhoscr.v17i1.11707

Successful allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in a patient with type I CD36 deficiency: a case study and literature review
DISCUSSION: The few reports of allogeneic HSCT in patients with CD36 deficiency have suggested that anti-CD36 antibodies could be involved in several post-transplant complications, such as delayed platelet recovery, transfusion refractoriness, and transfusion-related acute lung injury. Our present case confirmed that stem cell transplantation from CD36-positive donors to negative patients is feasible, when it includes careful prior assessment of anti-CD36 antibody titers and interventions to attenuate them.PMID:37490235 | DOI:10.1007/s12185-023-03637-4

Histocompatibility assessment in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: recommendations from the Italian Association of Immunogenetics and Biology of Transplantation (Associazione Italiana di Immunogenetica e Biologia dei Trapianti - AIBT)
Blood Transfus. 2023 Jun 12. doi: 10.2450/BloodTransfus.495. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe outcome of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is significantly influenced by the degree of HLA histocompatibility between donor and recipient. To provide shared indications for required histocompatibility testing and interpretation before HSCT, the Italian Society for Immunogenetics and Transplantation Biology (Associazione Italiana di Immunogenetica e Biologia dei Trapianti [AIBT]) gathered members and created a working group to discuss and develop recommendations for histocompatibility assessment in HSCT....
