Hyperacute Incidental Late Myocardial Enhancement in Ischemic Stroke Using Chest Spectral CT: Relationship with Etiology
CONCLUSIONS: In this study, hyperacute cardiac imaging of AIS with DESCT identified a high prevalence of incidental cardiac disease predominantly involving LIE of ischemic etiology and mostly not related to the stroke etiology.PMID:35345260 | DOI:10.31083/j.rcm2303093

Dual energy computed tomography in differentiation of iodine contrast agent staining from secondary brain haemorrhage in patients with ischaemic stroke treated with thrombectomy
CONCLUSIONS: DECT with iodine-water material decomposition maps is a valuable tool in the differentiation of prolonged staining of iodine contrast agent from secondary brain haemorrhage in patients with acute ischaemic stroke treated with mechanical thrombectomy. The value of 6 100ug/cm3 (0.6 mg/cm3) seems a good threshold in quantitative differentiation of iodine from blood on iodine (water) MD maps. The value of 1,030 mg/cm3 seems a good threshold in quantitative differentiation of iodine from blood on water (iodine) MD maps.PMID:34985116 | DOI:10.5603/PJNNS.a2022.0005

Detection of Perfusion Deficits in Multiphase Computed Tomography Angiography—A Stroke Imaging Technique Based on Iodine Mapping on Spectral Computed Tomography: Initial Findings
Conclusions The method can be used to categorize tissue as normal or underperfused. Using iodine quantification seems to give a more distinct differentiation of perfusion defects compared with conventional HU.

Differentiation between Cerebral Hemorrhage and Contrast Extravasation Using Dual Energy Computed Tomography after Intra-Arterial Neuro Interventional Procedures
Conclusion: DECT allows an early and accurate differentiation between cerebral hemorrhage and BBB disruption after intra-arterial neuro-interventional procedures. Published on 2020-11-25 11:18:50
