Prevalence of sexually transmitted infections and associated risk behaviors in prisoners: A systematic review
CONCLUSION: This systematic review indicates that the prevalence of STIs (HIV, HBV, HCV, Syphilis, Chlamydia Trachomatis, Gonorrhea, and HSV-2) among prisoners appears to be higher than the general population, with drug abuse, low educational levels, and unsafe sex as major risk factors.PMID:36177400 | PMC:PMC9478043 | DOI:10.1002/hsr2.819

Viral infections in orthopedics: A systematic review and classification proposal
CONCLUSION: Evidence of moderate strength suggested that viruses can cause moderate to severe arthritis and osteitis. Risk factors such as pre-existing rheumatologic disease contributed to higher disease severity and duration of symptoms. Therefore, based on our literature search, the proposed clinical and pathogenetic classification scheme is as follows: (1) Viral infections of bone or joint; (2) Active bone and joint inflammatory diseases secondary to viral infections in other organs or tissues; and (3) Viral infection as a risk factor for post-surgical bacterial infection.PMID:36439372 | PMC:PMC9685635 | DOI:10.5312/wjo.v13.i11.1015

Protein Induced by Vitamin K Absence or Antagonist-II Versus Alpha-Fetoprotein in the Diagnosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Systematic Review With Meta-Analysis
CONCLUSION: This study reveals that PIVKA-II is a promising biomarker for identifying and tracking HCC, exhibiting greater accuracy than AFP. Our findings indicate that PIVKA-II outperforms AFP in detecting HCC across diverse racial groups and sample sizes, as well as in cases of HBV-related, HCV-related, or mixed-etiology HCC.PMID:37575350 | PMC:PMC10416192 | DOI:10.14740/jocmr4951
