Diagnostic performance of gadoxetic acid-enhanced abbreviated magnetic resonance imaging protocol in small hepatocellular carcinoma ( ≤2 cm) in high-risk patients
CONCLUSION: A-MRI using diagnostic criteria including hypointensity on hepatobiliary phase plus mild to moderate hyperintensity on T2-weighted imaging or restricted diffusion demonstrated comparable sensitivity and specificity for small HCC compared to the F-MRI protocol in high-risk patients.PMID:37691270 | DOI:10.1177/02841851231195567

Laparoscopic Anatomical Liver Resection of Segment VIII by Using ICG Fluorescence Positive Staining Under the Guidance of Laparoscopic Ultrasonography
CONCLUSIONS: Laparoscopic anatomical liver resection of S8 has been demonstrated to be feasible. Under the guidance of laparoscopic ultrasonography, ICG positive staining was proven to be optimal for Anatomical segmentectomy.PMID:37556011 | DOI:10.1245/s10434-023-13920-7

Clinical Practice Guidelines For the Management of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Systematic Review
ConclusionsThe included CPGs provided a comprehensive approach, emphasizing the evaluation of risk factors, utilization of the BCLC staging system, and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach. Regular surveillance using ultrasound for cirrhotic patients was widely recommended. An understanding of contemporary international CPGs can prioritize aspects of the management of HCC to assist healthcare professionals to develop a national guideline to enable standardized, comprehensive, and evidence-based care for patients with HCC.

Etiopathogenetic Factors of Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Overall Survival, and Their Evolution over Time-Czech Tertiary Center Overview
Conclusions: We described a decreasing number of patients with HCV-related HCC during follow-up possibly linked with the introduction of DAA. In our cohort, an improvement in early-stage diagnosis was found, which we mainly concluded as a result of proper ultrasound surveillance, the institution of a HCV treatment center, and increased experience of our sonographers with an examination of cirrhotic patients. Lastly, we described significantly improved overall survival in patients with intermediate HCC treated by TACE, due to the increased experience of interventional radiologists with the method at our facility and an earl...
