Efficacy of Intermittent Theta-Burst Stimulation and Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation in Treatment of Post-Stroke Cognitive Impairment
CONCLUSIONS: Both iTBS and tDCS in addition to cognitive training appear to improve cognitive function and quality of life of patients with PSCI, compared to cognitive training alone. tDCS improved cognitive function by improving the patient's valuation, motivation, and decision-making substructures, while iTBS improved patients' assessment and decision-making abilities, improving cognitive control and, ultimately, overall cognitive function.PMID:36137957 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2105130

Interventions to Improve Social Participation, Work, and Leisure Among Adults Poststroke: A Systematic Review
CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: Occupational therapy interventions may improve work, leisure, and social participation outcomes poststroke, with the strongest evidence existing for client education, upper extremity training, and cognitive training for improving social participation. What This Article Adds: Occupational therapy practitioners may use the available literature along with clinical reasoning to improve work, leisure, and social participation outcomes among clients poststroke. Additional research is required to build stronger evidence to support clinical decision making in stroke rehabilitation in these areas.PMID:359...

Calligraphy-based rehabilitation exercise for improving the upper limb function of stroke patients: protocol for an evaluator-blinded randomised controlled trial
This study aims to design a randomised controlled trial to assess the effect of a customised CCH-based exercise for poststroke rehabilitation of upper limb dysfunction. Methods and analysis A single-blinded randomised controlled trial will be conducted on 60 stroke patients. The patients will be randomly allocated into three groups: (1) conventional occupational therapy (COT) group, (2) COT+CCH group, (3) COT+Graded Repetitive Arm Supplementary Program (GRASP) group.
