This report summarizes data collected for the 2020-21 school year by state and local immunization programs* on vaccination coverage among children in kindergarten in 47 states and the District of Columbia (DC), exemptions for kindergartners in 48 states and DC, and provisional enrollment or grace period status for kindergartners in 28 states. Predictors of HPV vaccination in the southern US: A survey of caregivers from 13 states
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest missed opportunities for HPV vaccination in the southern US and support strengthening provider recommendation for on-time initiation of HPV vaccination among adolescents. Other strategies to increase HPV vaccinations may include encouraging co-administration with other adolescent vaccines, increasing vaccine access, and promoting vaccinations for home/online-school students.PMID:34742592 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2021.10.036

Retrospective cohort study investigating extent of pertussis transmission during a boarding school outbreak, England, December 2017 to June 2018

We conducted a retrospective cohort study to determine the extent of pertussis transmission and identify risk factors in this semi-closed population.
