What is the optimal dose of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells treatment for knee osteoarthritis? A conventional and network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
CONCLUSIONS: Both cell doses reduced pain and improved knee function in KOA patients. The effect surpassed in the high-dose group than in the moderate-dose, low-dose and control groups. However, adverse events also increase with the increase in dose, which should be carefully considered in clinical application, and the side effects still need to be paid attention to. Considering the limitations of this meta-analysis, future studies need to further explore the efficacy and safety of different doses of treatment, and carry out large sample, multi-center, randomized controlled trials to ensure the reliability and promotion va...

Clinical and Radiological Comparison of Single and Double Intra-articular Injection of Adipose-Derived Stromal Vascular Fraction for Knee Osteoarthritis
In conclusion, double injections may provide more satisfactory treatment outcomes in patients with severe varus knee alignment. This clinical trial is registered in the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (URL: https://saiseiiryo.mhlw.go.jp/published_plan/index/2) with the registration name "Cell transplantation therapy for osteoarthritis using autologous subcutaneous adipose tissue-derived regenerative (stem) cells (ADRCs)," and the registration number was "PB5160012."PMID:37551027 | PMC:PMC10411282 | DOI:10.1177/09636897231190175

Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate versus Human Umbilical Cord Blood-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells for Combined Cartilage Regeneration Procedure in Patients Undergoing High Tibial Osteotomy: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Conclusions: Both BMAC and hUCB-MSCs with HTO improved clinical outcomes in varus knee OA patients, and there was no difference in clinical outcomes between them. However, hUCB-MSCs were more effective in articular cartilage regeneration than BMAC augmentation.PMID:36984635 | PMC:PMC10059261 | DOI:10.3390/medicina59030634
