Elicitation of E-waste (acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene) enriched soil bioremediation and detoxification using Priestia aryabhattai MGP1
Environ Res. 2023 Sep 14:117126. doi: 10.1016/j.envres.2023.117126. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTGiven the rise in both usage and disposal of dangerous electronics, there is a catastrophic rise in assemblage of electronic waste (e-waste). E-waste including various plastic resins are among the most frequently discarded materials in electronic gadgets. In current digital era, managing e-waste has become universal concern. From the viewpoint of persisting lacuna of e-waste managing methods, the current study is designed to fabricate an eco-friendly e-waste treatment with native soil bacteria employing an enrichment culture m...

The Facile Synthesis of Eco-Friendly Zinc Magnesium Bimetal Nanoparticles and its Application in the Eradication of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae that Causes Leaf Blight Disease of Rice
Curr Microbiol. 2023 Sep 15;80(11):340. doi: 10.1007/s00284-023-03455-1.ABSTRACTIn this research work, we formulated and successfully assessed the antibacterial capability of zinc magnesium bimetal nanoparticles (ZnMgNPs) against Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo), the pathogenic microorganism responsible for causing the destructive leaf blight disease in rice. Successful preparation of ZnMgNPs were determined by UV-vis spectroscopy, EDX (Energy dispersive X-ray), FTIR (Fourier transform infrared) and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy). ZnMgNPs had antibacterial efficacy towards Xoo at MIC (minimum inhibitory concentratio...

Improving the Durability of Chitosan Films through Incorporation of Magnesium, Tungsten, and Graphene Oxides for Biomedical Applications
In this study, loaded with tungsten oxide (WO3), Magnesium oxide (MgO), and graphene oxide (GO) on chitosan (CS) membrane, an inexpensive polymer casting method was successfully prepared for wound healing applications. All fabricated composites were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). A scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to study the synthesized film samples' morphology as well as their microstructure. The formed WO3/MgO@CS shows a great enhancement in the UV-Vis analysis with a highly intense peak at 401 nm and a n...

Three-component deep eutectic solvent-based microextraction approach for biodiesel quality control: Determination of water and metals
Anal Chim Acta. 2023 Oct 9;1277:341658. doi: 10.1016/j.aca.2023.341658. Epub 2023 Jul 26.ABSTRACTBiodiesel is an important alternative fuel produced by blending biofuels with petroleum diesel. Biofuel production is usually carried out by catalytic interesterification of animal fats or vegetable oils, followed by the removal of by-products and catalysts through washing with water. Residual amounts of water and catalysts can accelerate fuel biodegradation and contribute to the corrosion of metal surfaces. Considering the need to control the quality of biodiesel fuel, a simple and environmentally friendly analytical approach ...
