Cluster analysis reveals a homogeneous subgroup of PCOS women with metabolic disturbance associated with adverse reproductive outcomes
CONCLUSIONS: Our study suggested that PCOS patients in metabolic cluster may be associated with adverse reproductive outcomes and might need individualized treatment and careful monitoring before and during ART.PMID:37620950 | DOI:10.1097/CM9.0000000000002787

Clinical importance of adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP)
Orv Hetil. 2023 Aug 20;164(33):1300-1310. doi: 10.1556/650.2023.32833. Print 2023 Aug 20.ABSTRACTThe pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) was isolated and characterized from sheep hypothalami. Its amino acid sequence, gene, receptors and receptor genes and its distribution in the mammalian organism were soon described. PACAP is a member of the secretin peptide family. Its closest relative is the vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP). Its widespread occurrence suggests that it plays a significant role in physiological processes. With the aim of animal models, the role of PACAP was intensively investi...

CYP17A1 (rs74357) polymorphism and polycystic ovary syndrome risk: a systemic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: In the present study, CYP17 T/C (rs74357) gene polymorphism increase the susceptibility of PCOS, and the recessive C allele, can be proposed as a predictive factor for the risk of PCOS or an important pathway in PCOS associated metabolic and hormonal dysregulation especially insulin resistance. However, larger sample size andmultiracial studies are needed in the future to confirm the findings.PMID:37539608 | DOI:10.23750/abm.v94i4.14229
