Role of MexAB-OprM efflux pump in the emergence of multidrug-resistant clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Mazandaran province of Iran
CONCLUSION: We found that increasing the expression of the mexB gene can cause the emergence of multidrug-resistant strains by increasing the minimum inhibitory concentration of the antibiotics. Then, we need to evaluate the resistance mechanisms separately in different area of a country to improve the antibiotic stewardship.PMID:36626068 | DOI:10.1007/s11033-022-08230-2

Antimicrobial Resistance Profile of Bacteria Causing Pediatric Infections at the University Teaching Hospital in Rwanda
In conclusion, our findings show a high resistance rate to commonly used antibiotics, which suggests precaution in empirical therapy and continued surveillance of antimicrobial resistance.PMID:36216320 | DOI:10.4269/ajtmh.22-0047

Correlation between antibiotic consumption and resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in a teaching hospital implementing an antimicrobial stewardship program: A longitudinal observational study
CONCLUSION: Our ASP intervention strategy, which included extended infusion of PTZ and restrict use of levofloxacin, may be used to control antimicrobial resistance of P. aeruginosa in medical practice.PMID:36210318 | DOI:10.1016/j.jmii.2022.08.017

Development of a combination antibiogram for empirical treatments of Pseudomonas aeruginosa at a university-affiliated teaching hospital
CONCLUSION: Our results support the use of aminoglycosides instead of fluoroquinolones as additive agents in empirical combination treatments for patients with critical infections caused by PA.PMID:36180343 | DOI:10.1016/j.jmii.2022.08.012
