Eptifibatide infusion versus placebo in high risk patients with non-st segment elevation acute coronary syndromes managed with urgent coronary artery bypass graft surgery. a prospective multicenter randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial.
CONCLUSION: Preoperative use of eptifibatide vs. placebo is linked to significantly reduced 12--month MACCE rate in patients with NSTE--ACS requiring urgent CABG, while it simultaneously seems not to confer a greater risk of postoperative bleeding. PMID: 25394877 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Thrombotic valvular dysfunction with transcatheter mitral interventions for postsurgical failures
ConclusionThrombotic related dysfunction post‐TMVR occurred in 15% (2/13) of patients and one patient had abnormal leaflet thickening that may have been thrombus related. Dual‐antiplatelet therapy was used in all 3 cases suggesting the possible need for oral anticoagulation postmitral valve‐in‐valve therapy. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Intravenous enoxaparin anticoagulation in percutaneous left atrial cardiac procedures.
CONCLUSIONS: IV enoxaparin without monitoring appears as a potential safe and easy-to-use anticoagulation regimen in percutaneous LA cardiac interventions. Further investigations with larger cohorts of patients are warranted. PMID: 28804058 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
