The Safety and Efficacy of Radiation Therapy with Concurrent Dexamethasone, Cyclophosphamide, Etoposide, and Cisplatin-Based Systemic Therapy for Multiple Myeloma
CONCLUSION: RT administered concurrently with DCEP was well-tolerated by most of the patients in this series, with low rates of hematologic and RT-related toxicity. RT was also very effective, with the vast majority of patients demonstrating resolution of their pain and a significant response on follow-up imaging.PMID:34736880 | DOI:10.1016/j.clml.2021.09.015

Whole-Lung Low-Dose Radiation Therapy (LD-RT) for Non-Intubated Oxygen-Dependent Patients with COVID-19-Related Pneumonia Receiving Dexamethasone and/or Remdesevir
CONCLUSIONS: Adding LD-RT to standard drug treatments reduced biomarkers of inflammation and cardiac injury in COVID-19 patients and may have reduced intubation. Durable CRP decline following LD-RT predicted especially favorable recovery, freedom from intubation, reduction in prolonged hospitalization, and reduced oxygenation burden. A confirmatory randomized trial is now ongoing.CLINICAL TRIAL REGISTRATION: NCT04366791.FUNDING: None.PMID:34653525 | PMC:PMC8511870 | DOI:10.1016/j.radonc.2021.10.003

Pancreatic Cancer with Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis: Case Presentation and Literature Review (P5.181)
Conclusions:Pancreatic cancer associated LMC is extremely rare. With increased systemic control, however, there may be increasing occurrence of LMC and/or parenchymal involvement. To date, as with LMC associated with other solid tumors, survival is poor.Study Supported by: Not applicableDisclosure: Dr. Perilla has nothing to disclose. Dr. Melian has nothing to disclose.
