Clopidogrel Is Associated with Reduced Likelihood of Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage: a Multi-Center Matched Retrospective Analysis
We present, to the best of our knowledge, the first large-scale multi-institutional analysis suggesting clopidogrel use is protective against intracranial aneurysm rupture. It is our hope that these data will guide future investigation, revealing the pathophysiologic underpinning of this association.

Capsular warning syndrome and its clinical awareness and therapeutic approach: two case reports and a systematic review of the literature
ConclusionOur cases fit with the description of patients with partial recovery and risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, and smoking) in male patients. There is a lack of evidence regarding the best treatment option; dual antiplatelet therapy and anticoagulation therapy are strong contenders for a favorable result.

Hyperacute Carotid Stenting for Acute Ischemic Stroke After Systemic Thrombolysis with IV rt-PA (P1.282)
Conclusions:These 2 cases demonstrate a successful use of hyperacute carotid stenting and antiplatelet load in patients who received systemic thrombolysis with IV rt-PA. Both had excellent outcomes and no complications. Conclusions:Stroke is a leading and preventable cause of disability in the US adult population. The majority of strokes are due to atherosclerotic vascular or cardioembolic disease. Understanding the diagnostic work up of stroke and recognizing rare etiologies like MM is important for stroke prevention. Association of multiple infarctions and ICAS with outcomes of minor stroke and TIA

Intracranial Fibromuscular Dysplasia in a Middle-Aged Woman with Recurrent Ischemic Stroke (P4.388)
Conclusions: FMD is a rare disease and has very rarely been described in the intracranial arteries. This case illustrates the natural history and progression of FMD in this patient and elucidates the limited treatment options for preventing disease progression and secondary complications. FMD most predominantly affects younger to middle-aged females and if the disease process goes unrecognized it can have devastating consequences. Dual antiplatelet therapy in stroke and ICAS: Subgroup analysis of CHANCE
Conclusions: The results indicated higher rate of recurrent stroke in minor stroke or high-risk TIA patients with ICAS than in those without. However, there was no significant difference in the response to the 2 antiplatelet therapies between patients with and without ICAS in the CHANCE trial. Classification of evidence: This study provides Class II evidence that for patients with acute minor stroke or TIA with and without ICAS identified by MRA, clopidogrel plus aspirin is not significantly different than aspirin alone in preventing recurrent stroke.

Recurrent Intra-Luminal Aortic Thrombus And Ischemic Stroke In A Patient With Essential Thrombocythemia (P6.262)
CONCLUSIONS: This case highlights the importance of recognizing essential thrombocythemia as an entity that can lead to devastating complications, including acute coronary syndrome and either arterial and venous thrombosis. A Markov model to compare the long-term effect of aspirin, clopidogrel and clopidogrel plus aspirin on prevention of recurrent ischemic stroke due to intracranial artery stenosis
Conclusion: To prevent recurrent stroke in patients with intracranial artery stenosis, especially in those patients with a history of TIA or coronary artery disease, medical therapy with clopidogrel plus aspirin should be considered in preference to aspirin alone.
