Kidney transplantation waiting times and risk of cardiovascular events and mortality: a retrospective observational cohort study in Taiwan
Conclusions Our results demonstrate that early KT is associated with superior long-term cardiovascular outcomes compared with late KT in selected patients with ESRD receiving uncomplicated KT, suggesting that an early KT could be a better treatment option for patients with ESRD who are eligible for transplantation.

Long-term outcomes of left atrial appendage occlusion in patients with atrial fibrillation and end stage renal disease
CONCLUSIONS: Long-term outcomes of LAAO therapy may be less favorable in patients with AF undergoing dialysis, possibly because of the poor condition of patients with ESRD.PMID:37394333 | DOI:10.1016/j.jfma.2023.06.016

Initial experience with percutaneous edge-to-edge transcatheter mitral valve repair in a tertiary medical center in Taiwan
Conclusion Trans-catheter edge-to-edge mitral valve repairs are safe and effective in Asians with symptomatic SMR, regarding the improvements of clinical symptoms and exercise capacities. MitraClips is also associated with reverse remodeling of pulmonary hypertension and left ventricular size in patients with SMR.

Public knowledge, attitudes and willingness regarding bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation: A nationwide survey in Taiwan
ConclusionThe expressed willingness to perform bystander CPR was high if the respondents possessed the required skills. Attempts should be made to recruit potential bystanders for CPR courses or education, targeting those respondent subgroups less likely to express willingness to perform CPR. The reason for lower bystander CPR willingness among healthcare providers deserves further investigation.
