Health care professionals' experiences and perceptions of health promotion through the health dialogue intervention in the scania region, Sweden: a qualitative interview study
Conclusions imply that the health dialogue is a well-structured method with tools to make health promotion and primary prevention an integrated part of primary care. A respectful and motivating approach during the health dialogue is recommended. It is important to have an ongoing discussion about the approach among the health care professionals. Incorporating the Health Belief Model in the health care professionals' education in the method could increase the focus on self-efficacy during counselling, which could favour the participants' change process.PMID:37661252 | DOI:10.1186/s12875-023-02133-2

Waning protection after vaccination and prior infection against COVID-19-related mortality over 18  months
CONCLUSIONS: Given the waning of protection against death, continuous surveillance of population immunity status, particularly among the most vulnerable population groups, could help to further fine-tune vaccination recommendations.PMID:37580016 | DOI:10.1016/j.cmi.2023.08.007

This study demonstrates just how vital the thymus is to maintaining adult health." « Back to Top Does Amyloid-β Aggregation Cause Broad Disruption of Proteostasis? https://www.fightaging.org/archives/2023/08/does-amyloid-%ce%b2-aggregation-cause-broad-disruption-of-proteostasis/ Researchers here speculate on the ability of insoluble amyloid-β aggregates to be broadly disruptive of the solubility of many other proteins, and thus disruptive to cell and tissue function. Is this important in aging? The evidence here shows the existence of the mechanism in a lower species, but that doesn't n...
