Catch-up vaccination campaign in children between 6 and 8  years old during COVID-19 pandemic: The experience in a COVID hub in Milan, Italy
CONCLUSIONS: This experience has demonstrated that a mass vaccination campaign could be a useful tool in catch-up strategies, even during the pandemic. It should be part of a bigger immunization program strategy that also includes efforts to simultaneously strengthen routine immunization services. With the appropriate organizational improvements, this initiative could pave the way for future successful campaigns involving different age groups and vaccinations.PMID:35570078 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2022.05.005

Multidimensional Frailty and Vaccinations in Older People: A Cross-Sectional Study
In conclusion, the coverage of recommended vaccinations is low. Higher SELFY-MPI scores and vaccination status, particularly anti-pneumococcus, appear to be associated, but future studies are urgently needed for confirming that frailty is associated with vaccination status in older people.PMID:35455304 | PMC:PMC9028390 | DOI:10.3390/vaccines10040555

Pertussis immunisation during pregnancy: Antibody levels and the impact of booster vaccine
This study confirmed that the vaccination is greatly effective in ensuring high antibody titres in the first months after the booster vaccine, with considerable differences in anti-PT IgG compared to women vaccinated earlier or never vaccinated at all, and therefore vaccinating pregnant women against pertussis still represents a valuable strategy.PMID:34330557 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2021.07.052

Pertussis-associated persistent cough in previously vaccinated children.
This study used non-invasive testing to show that pertussis is one of the most important causes of long-lasting cough in school-age subjects. Moreover, the protection offered by acellular pertussis vaccines currently wanes more rapidly than previously thought. PMID: 28984566 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
